Actually, I signed up to this forum specifically because I was hoping to discuss tap "footwear" - I say footwear as opposed to shoes because as I have begun to study tap dance, I discovered something rather odd...
It would appear, that for me anyways, my very very heavy motorcycle boots (Harley Davidson w/ metal rings on side) seem to be easier to tap in ? There are good heels on these boots so it seems as if I am starting in a position where I am already up on my toes where the shoes make me feel sooo flat-footed. Any tap dancers here whom can testify one way or the other ? pluses and minuses ?
Point is this, it seems that all I see Mr. Flatley use himself is a "boot" AND there seems to be a "modified heel" - in one instance, not only at least a 3-4 inch? (sorry, I'm an American still learning metric) with a hollowed-out chamber if my eyes do not deceive me.
Are there any interviews where Mr. Flatley talks about his boots ?

Do you irish dance or do you just wantthe shoes? They are very expensive.

it's me again: I unfortunately still haven't been able to find any vegan Irish Dancing shoes.

But: UK-based cruelty-free footwear manufacturer 'ethical WARES', who already offer a whole range of vegan dancing shoes, told me recently, they need "about 12 pairs per style to make it even possibly viable" producing vegan shoes for Irish Dance - and well, that's not too much...

So is there anyone else looking for vegan Irish Dancing shoes?

I totally agree with you, I didn't had the chance to see it on live, and after i've seen Michael in Dublin in 2010 I know he can pull a great show!

I saw an interview with Michael in which he stated that the ladies all have long curly hair because it is so feminine. If they don't have long enough hair, enter the wig. I agree. They look so feminine.

In competitions, it is normal for you to have your hair curled, if you don't, you will probably look out of place especially at the worlds. Wigs are just a faster and easier way to make you have curly hair! I loved Jig too! It was great!!

Does anyone know how much bio energy Michael got before he returned to full health?

HI, im just wondering how everyone is doing.
I am currently suffering from fibromyalgia or symptoms of same, chronic fatigue, aches especially tightness in the back of my neck and head. I also started getting muscle twitches for the last 3 wks which keep me awake so i am currently taking sleeping tablets. I have a son 19mths and trying to hold down a fulltime job so i'm finding it so hard.
Can anyone offer any advice. My GP will probably be putting me on amytriptaline very soon if the twitching doesnt stop and i feel i have no choice. I have tried acupuncture, homeopathy, bio energy etc etc and it's all so expensive. any advice welcome.
Do you think it's caused by a hormone in the brain. At one stage i went to a guy for physio and he also practiced homeopathy among other treatments. he did a scan on me and the pineal gland seemed to come up as being underfunctioning.

I live in Spain and train EFT ( Emotional Freedom Techniques ) which is an Energy healing technique. I was so pleased to see you on TV recently and that you have overcome your terribly debilitating illness.
I for one had ME for 12 years before I knew about energy healing and now help people with this , fibromyalgia, serious illness etc.
I had a double brain haemorrhage about 8 years ago when I was introduced to EFT. The doctors couldn't help me with the crippling symptoms I was left with and I couldnt work. Drugs couldn't help me either.
Within two days of using EFT myself , I fully recovered !
It was a miracle then and still is every day I use EFT with myself, animals and humans !

Maybe Jean Butler has found another Irish dance troop to work for or maybe she's on broadway...maybe retired and not dancing any more.

Michael Flatley left Riverdance and created his own show, Lord of the Dance in 1996. No idea what she did after that, but she stayed wiith Riverdance and it has been many, many, many years since they danced together.
