Sorry for being a bit late, but I just wanted to report on the completely awesome Troupe 2 shows that I saw in Florida this past weekend (Melbourne & Clearwater). I was able to see some dancers in the lead for the first time and was thoroughly impressed. Maggie Revis (good girl) & Louise Hayden (good girl) were both beautiful & gorgeous. Bobby Hodges (good guy) was awesome with his high kicks and high energy--3 encores--really?! I haven't seen 3 encores in a long time! Then there were the "oldies" in the leads, some of whom I've seen too many times to count (Adam McSharry as the bad guy--never ever get tired of seeing him dance the lead). Adam, Ciaran Plummer, and Zoltan Papp were all very powerful and menacing, teasing the audience with their "oooh, I'm so scared" movements. Zoltan, what can I say--perfection--and so humble, thankful, and never settling for just an "acceptable" performance--always wanting to improve which is refreshing to see. Caroline Fahy, Cherie Butler, Katie Kerrigan, & Debbie Carroll as the bad girls--flirting & teasing the audience. Ciaran Connolly was such a leader as the good guy. He totally has command of the stage and the audience is putty in his hands when he dances. Siobhan Connolly is stunning as the good girl and such a sweet person off stage. T2's new singer, Mary-Anne Roddy, has a beautiful voice and is fitting in well with the Troupe. The 2 fiddlers, Juliette & Anne, got the crowd clapping along for each show. Also, who doesn't love a Little Spirit--Sarah Sullivan--that can do double duty as the Spirit AND a dancer in the Troupe?! Many many many thanks to all the dancers for their time after the shows. Can't wait to see all of you again at the end of April in Viriginia & Washington, DC. Oh, just a little shout out to Danny Lewin---Exit 55 rules! :-)
