It’s Michael Flatley Day on TV3 as the already super-talented dancer and musician begins his first stint as a television host.

He will be joined by Susie Castillo to present this new series which brings together accomplished dancers from all over the world, each masters of their own style.

Eight countries will showcase styles unique to their nation, with teams of two soloists, one duo and one larger group.

There will also be one judge per country. For Ireland Marie Duffy Pask will be coaching the team to glory while our representative on the judging panel is Daire Nolan – most famous for his role as Dark Lord in Lord of the Dance.

And if that’s not enough for you, TV3 will also be running two interviews with Flatley today. Aisling O’Loughlinn will be reporting from Castlehyde on Xpose at 6pm while Alan Cantwell will be getting up close and personal with Michael at 8pm.
